We've recently implemented a function in the BiteFX Members' Area that allows you to enter new credit card information yourself.
You might be wondering why we didn't provide this functionality before. I have to confess I am asking myself the same question - seems like an obvious thing to do, really. However, having implemented the monthly payment processing it was never that much trouble for us to enter the information for you.
An increasing number of overseas customers, and recognizing that a phone transaction wasn't the most convenient for everyone, brought the idea of do-it-yourself updating to the fore. After a full year's search, finding a company that is doing an excellent job of maintaining the more technical aspects of our website, also helped.
Now, if you need to update your credit card information for any reason, you just need to do the following:
- Login to the BiteFX Members Area.
- Select "My Account".
- Under "My Account" on the "My Account Information" page, select: "Change my credit card information".
You'll be asked to re-enter your login password (to make sure that someone can't make this change without your permission/help) and enter the new credit card information.
And, just to confirm:
we do not store your credit card information ourselves.
The information is submitted to our credit card processing company. They store your information on their secure servers. Communication between our system and theirs uses a unique ID so that after the initial transaction, or an update details transaction, no credit card information is exchanged.
