Do you receive the ACT Dental Practice Coaching newsletter?
I do and I'm not a dentist!
Kirk Behrendt who writes the newsletter and heads-up ACT gives such great, success-oriented advice that I love to read and view what he sends out.
A few days ago he published "The One Thing You MUST Do Before 2013" and I think it makes so much sense I'm going to follow his advice - and thought I should share it with you too!
Read it! Do it!

Have you ever had a patient complain about their occlusal splint because it “makes their bite feel really uncomfortable”?
I.e. when they remove the splint their bite doesn’t feel like it used to?
Hal Stewart, one of our long-time customers, suggested to us that an animation explaining what happens when you remove a splint would be really helpful – so that’s what we have produced as this month’s update animation.

Recently picked up on a post by Joan Forrest of the Dawson Academy in which Joan was reviewing common challenges from dentists around the world. Worth a read if you have a minute (link at the end of this post).

We are always working to make your BiteFX experience smoother, easier, and more productive.
As part of these efforts we will periodically be issuing updates to the BiteFX software to tune the behavior and/or fix bugs we have discovered. BiteFX Subscribers using BiteFX V2.0w for Windows will receive the first of these periodic updates to the BiteFX software along with this month’s animation updates.
This article lists all the changes we have made to the software, along with descriptions of how to take advantage of new features where relevant.

We’ve put a lot of work into creating the latest release of BiteFX on Windows and we’ve been excited to share all its great features with you. While we know exactly why we’ve put those features in BiteFX, how they will help you be more effective, and are hearing from those who made the upgrade early just how great it is, it may not be immediately obvious to you how the new features translate into savings or new revenue for you. This blog tells you why!

Now that BiteFX V2.0w for Windows has been released we will be releasing new animations regularly (about one a month is the goal). V2.0w and BiteFX on the iPad (when it is released) have update support built-in so the products, as long as they can connect to the Internet, will recognize when updates are available and give you the opportunity to download and install the updates at your convenience.

Firstly my apologies to those who read my first post on this subject "Do You Measure Where the Condyle Goes from Centric Relation?" as it has taken much longer than I intended to write this follow-up post on the calculations I've put together.

I was recently sent a link to a preview of an occlusion and bite force course put together by Dr. Spear. He makes good use of one of the BiteFX animations to explain when the TMJ disc can and cannot be loaded. If you'd like to see it, it's at:
