Registering BiteFX

BiteFX is a license-protected software product. When BiteFX is initially installed on a computer or if the software has been unregistered, to enable continuous use of the software it must be registered using a 16-digit serial number provided at the time BiteFX was ordered, and the customer's current email address as it appears in the BiteFX customer database.

Animation - Proprioception

A number of you have asked that we provide an animation to help illustrate proprioception - the jaw moving into MIP, unconsciously avoiding an interference.

The software update released today (June 4, 2015) as Update 44 contains the following fixes:

1. When running, BiteFX was checking for updates every 84,600ms (=1.44 minutes). This has been changed to the correct value of 84,600s (= 1 day).
2. If one of the files BiteFX uses to store session information was corrupted, BiteFX would fail to start. BiteFX now recognizes when the files are corrupted and starts with default values.
3. The update function was enhanced so that sequences can be provided in the update process.
   This will allow us to deliver example sequences that illustrate how to present certain topics to you.

Animation - Incisor Angle and Airway

The animation update this month shows how incisor angle can affect jaw position and constrict the airway.

There are two animations in this month's update.

The first illustrates the situation known as long centric, the second is a variation on our sleep apnea animation keeping the lips sealed after the applicance is inserted.

Animation - Slow Bilateral Condyle Deterioration

This month adds slow bilateral condyle deterioration to last month's rapid bilateral condyle deterioration.

Animation - Rapid Bilateral Condyle Deterioration

Following on from the last two months' updates in which we have shown rapid and slow deterioration on a single condyle, this month's update shows what happens if both condyles rapidly deteriorate.
